REAPER and Audacity are alternative ways to record. Pick the one you use. Scrivener references are for writers preparing scripts; performers do not need to own it.

Listen for reflections before buying more equipment. Soft furnishings can help reflections; they do not soundproof a room.

BACK IN YOUR SESSION

Keep the handoff
simple.

Recording spec, naming & pickups →

Keep the original. Save an untouched take before cleanup or processing.

Use the written spec. The default is mono, 48 kHz / 24-bit PCM WAV, without baked-in effects. Your written project brief takes priority.

Export an audio file. A REAPER or Audacity project is useful for editing; it is not the same thing as the WAV someone needs to play.

Keep the performance intact. A breath or pause can belong to the scene. Cleaner does not always mean better.

WHEN YOUR SCREEN LOOKS DIFFERENT
