Booth Junkie

Booth Junkie starts with the space around the microphone. A useful place to begin when your voice sounds distant or roomy.

Set recording levels with room to spare

REAPER Mania

Get comfortable with the input meter before recording a scene with quiet lines and loud ones.

REAPER · Mac / Windows; controls may differ

BACK IN YOUR SESSION

Keep the handoff
simple.

Recording spec, naming & pickups →

Keep the original. Save an untouched take before cleanup or processing.

Use the written spec. The default is mono, 48 kHz / 24-bit PCM WAV, without baked-in effects. Your written project brief takes priority.

Export an audio file. A REAPER or Audacity project is useful for editing; it is not the same thing as the WAV someone needs to play.

Keep the performance intact. A breath or pause can belong to the scene. Cleaner does not always mean better.

WHEN YOUR SCREEN LOOKS DIFFERENT
